1. GoodWe Solar Community’s Commitment to Privacy
GoodWe Solar Community’ is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience on our websites and Community. Your ability to make informed choices about the uses of your information is important to us.
This policy outlines our GoodWe Solar Community’s policy regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of Personal Data. It covers all Personal Data that you affirmatively provide during your interactions with us, information that we automatically collect when you interact with our website. Example: GoodWe Solar Community uses aggregated data from all the systems in a certain region to identify, for example, the duration and intensity of sunlight in that region. 2.2.1 GoodWe Solar Community can only identify you or the respective user following registration. Registration requires you to voluntarily provide your data. Our websites record and store the following data of registered users:
a) User data: a form of address, first name, surname, company, street, street number, postcode, town, federal state, country, time zone, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, birthday, customer number, user name, password.
You can sign up and choose whether to agree to receive emails or newsletter communications from us. We send you push notifications from time to time to update you about any events or promotions that we may be running. If you would like to stop receiving these communications, you may update your preferences using the "unsubscribe" link found in such emails.
b) Customer Content: We collect the content you submit to the Services. This includes your posts and comments including saved drafts, videos you broadcast, your messages with other users (e.g., private messages, chats ), and your reports and other communications with moderators and with us. Your content may include text, links, images, and videos.
When you submit content (including a post, comment, chat message) to a public part of the Community, any users of our Services will be able to see that content, the username associated with the content, and the date and time you originally submitted the content. Although some parts of the Services may be private or quarantined, they may become public (e.g., at the moderator’s option in the case of private communities) and you should consider that point before posting to the Services.
Much of the information on the Services are public and accessible to everyone, with a GoodWe Solar Community account. By using the Community, you are directing us to share this information publicly and freely.
We also collect information about the actions you take when you use the Services. This includes your interactions with content, such as voting, saving, hiding, and reporting. This also includes your interactions with other users, such as following, friending, and blocking. We collect information about your interactions with the community, such as your subscriptions.
c) System data: system name, system identifier, date/time of commissioning, company, street, street number, postcode, town, federal state, time zone, longitude, latitude, height above sea level, system performance, manufacturer, module type, system specification, system image.
d) Operator/customer data: a form of address, first name, surname, company, street, street number, postcode, town, federal state, country, time zone, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, customer number, VAT identification number.
If you attending training services from us, we will collect certain information from you, including your name, address, email address. GoodWe Solar Community uses industry-standard payment processor services to handle payment information.
e) Connection data: data under Section 2.1.1
2.2.2 GoodWe Solar Community collects the personal data
a) To provide, maintain and improve services.
b) To research and develop new services.
c) To send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, invoices, and other support and administrative information.
d) To provide customer service.
e) To communicate with you about products, services, offers, promotions, and events, and to provide other news and information that we think will be of interest to you.
f) To monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activity related to our Services.
g) To measure the effectiveness of the advertisements displayed on our Services.
h) To personalize the Services and provide and optimize advertisements, content, and features that match user interest profiles.
2.2.3 All personal data are kept strictly confidential by GoodWe Solar Community and are not provided to third parties without your express consent.
2.2.4 Without your consent, GoodWe Solar Community will only collect, process, and use your personal master data and usage data to the extent required for contract processing and the use and billing of electronic information and communication services.
2.2.5 By way of exception, GoodWe Solar Community is entitled to provide the data to third parties if it is under a legal obligation to do so, for example, if it is required to disclose the data to public authorities.
2.2.6 By way of exception, GoodWe Solar Community is entitled to provide personal data to an online payment system, but only to the extent that such data are necessary for due processing of the payment.
2.2.7 Following registration, your user name will be visible to other members. In addition, you may release/publish the other details of your profile or your system and make them visible to other members. Within your profile, you have the option of adjusting the settings to modify the scope of publication of your data. It is at your discretion which data are released/published to other users and in what scope. Further details are provided on the websites beside the given function.
2.2.8 If we use data for a purpose requiring your consent under statutory regulations, we will request your express consent. Your consent will be documented in compliance with the relevant data privacy regulations. You may revoke the consent that you have given at any time with effect for the future and/or reject the future use of your data for advertising, market research, and opinion research. You will not be charged any additional costs for contacting us.
3.1 Software is used on this website to analyze the use of the website. Analysis of the data enables valuable information to be gained about user requirements, enabling us to further enhance our products and services.

Collection and Use of Personal Data
