【MORE THAN SOLAR】How to prevent fire incidents

Over the past few years, there have been a number of media reports linking the PV system with fire. According to recent reports, the annual frequency of fire incidents for PV installations is 0.029 per megawatt. While this number may not seem alarming, however, with nearly 200 GW of PV systems now installed worldwide, an increase in incident reports is to be expected.

Arcs and residual current are considered the primary cause of serious fires in solar PV systems, which accounts for more than 60% of all incidents involving rooftop PV systems. Manufacturers, developers, and governments have been implementing measures for years to prevent arcing and system fires.

Question: What solutions do you know to prevent fire incidents in a solar system?

Hi, everyone, thank you for all of your valuable opinions. From the module side and the battery side, based on the AI-based detection capability integrated into the GoodWe inverter and the Class A fire rating PV building material, the energy system can detect the risks accurately and protect your system from the fire.

Quality wiring is one of the most important factor when its come to fire safety.

Second one is alarm system and also very important that modules and battery has good fire ratings
