How to upgrade firmware on SolarGo App

Upgrading the firmware of your inverter is essential for ensuring optimal performance and accessing the latest features. SolarGo now supports firmware upgrades through cloud push or local methods. This article will guide you through the process of upgrading the DSP version, ARM version of the inverter, or the firmware version of the communication module.

 

1. Local Upgrade

If your inverter does not have network access in your region or is not equipped with WiFi, you can perform a local upgrade.

A local firmware upgrade allows you to manually update your device using an upgrade patch. The most important thing is to ensure you have received the upgrade patch from your dealer or after-sales service, then transfer the patch to your smartphone to proceed with the upgrade.

The following sections detail the upgrade process for different inverter types: on-grid inverters with Bluetooth/WiFi, hybrid inverters, and Ezlink parallel scenarios. Select the section that matches your setup. If you're unsure which type applies, please contact after-sales support for guidance.

1.1  For On-Grid Inverters with Bluetooth and WiFi Module

To upgrade your on-grid inverter with Bluetooth and WiFi, follow the steps below for a seamless update process.

*Obtain Firmware files: Download the latest firmware file from GoodWe aftersales or your dealer for assistance.

*Connect method: Use the SolarGo app to connect to your inverter via Bluetooth or Wifi module.

 

*Upload Firmware: Navigate to the firmware information section in the app, and tap Upload Firmware to import the firmware file from your phone.

 

*Complete Upgrade: Once the upload is complete, confirm the upgrade was successful by checking the firmware version in the app.

1.2  For Hybrid Inverters

Updating your hybrid inverter's firmware is straightforward and ensures you have the latest enhancements. Here’s how to do it:

*Connection method: Use the SolarGo app to connect to your inverter via Bluetooth.

*Check Firmware Information: Go to the "Settings" menu, and find "Firmware Information."

*Initiate Upgrade Process: Click on the "Check for Update" button to begin upgrading the firmware.

*Verify Upgrade: After completion, ensure that the firmware version reflects the new update.
